Aspire Community Enterprise (Sheffield) LTD

Aspire-Sheffield is a vibrant and energetic social enterprise whose primary objective is to provide a stable job and a supported working environment for vulnerable or marginalised people.

Although our work is supported in part by public and private funders, aided by a dedicated team of volunteers and contributors, we recognise the need for us to become self supporting through business activities.

To do this we have created a range of activities that provide sustainable jobs and paid work with full or part-time wages.

If you think we can help you - we’re always seeking new clients, volunteers, contributors or ideas – please explore the site, click on to the services below, or contact us for further information.

‘Aspiring’ People

For those who work with us* there are no barriers concerning experience, ongoing problems of homelessness, disabilities, past mistakes, learning difficulties, or other problems perceived by mainstream employers.

We operate as a fully inclusive social business - everybody who joins us is given a chance and the choice to make the effort to change their lives if they so desire.

Teams are as diverse as the work undertaken but each member is valued equally for the contribution they make.

All we ask is that each member gives it their very best shot and can respect and support other team members when and where necessary.

We operate under a simple common sense formula.  Our colleagues are looked after and supported as if they were actual family members and many thrive in the positive atmosphere of mutual respect and are loudly encouraged by the supportive cheers of other team members as they go for gold!

* Potential new team members require being referred or signposted by a support organisation or referring agency.  We are Registered Charity number 1116421

We are Volunteers

Our volunteers come in all shapes and sizes!  Some bring valuable skills and some come to learn new ones but whatever their reason all find volunteering a rewarding and fulfilling experience.

Our volunteers help inspire and support the vulnerable people we work with and at the same time are able to add the experience to their CV, gain a reference and it's a great way to meet new people and make new friends.

Current and future volunteer opportunities (for self-referred applicants only) will now be advertised HERE
