Invaluable support from both public and private funders

Over the years, we have received invaluable support from both public and private funders, as well as from a dedicated team of volunteers and contributors.

However, we recognised the importance of achieving core self-sustainability through our own business activities. Through the generous donations of computer recycling stock and other WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment), combined with the continued assistance of our amazing volunteers, we have accomplished that goal.

In addition to our central activities in computer recycling, we have diversified our operations to include other commercially viable ventures. These ventures not only support our core costs but also provide a multitude of opportunities for the individuals we support.

By engaging in these activities, we not only fulfil our social mission but also contribute to the economic growth of our community.

Reducing Waste

Since our inception in 2001, our commitment to reducing waste has been unwavering. We have successfully reclaimed many thousands of tons of electrical waste through our comprehensive recycling activities. This significant accomplishment not only mitigates the environmental impact of discarded electronics but also contributes to the conservation of valuable resources.

Supporting People

Our dedication to helping others extends to employment opportunities. Recognising the challenges faced by individuals seeking to re-enter the workforce, we have introduced experiences designed to assist them in retraining and acquiring the skills necessary for gainful employment. Partnering with referring agencies, we collaborate to deliver comprehensive skills development; ensuring participants receive tailored work experience that meets industry demands. Over the years, our partnerships have impacted the lives of hundreds of individuals, equipping them with valuable skills and knowledge that enhance their employability. These work experience programs cover a diverse range of areas, including computer refurbishment, electronics repair, customer service, warehousing and administrative tasks. As a result of their participation in our work experience programs, over 70% of these individuals have successfully secured employment. By providing hands-on training and real-world experience, we not only empower individuals to secure employment but also support local businesses by supplying them with skilled and enthusiastic workers.
